Average Readers Rating:
Hennessy is an old name in Cognac, and their upper-end products are worthy of the name, but they should probably not be attaching it to this cognac. The Hennessy VS Cognac costs about $30 most places, its a bit too high-priced for mixing and cooking, and there are simply much better products out there for filling a snifter at the same, or lower, price. If playing copycat to the lyrics of a hip-hop song is your thing, then this is your drink. For the serious cognac afficianado on a budget, its just not a good deal. Improvement is needed, Hennessy.

0I agree. Hennessy VS was on sale at Sam’s, and so I tried it. Aroma is not bad, but taste is harsh. Reminded me of cheap whisky.

4Whoa now, does this really deserve this type of review? I find it delicious and widely available. If it weren’t for Henny, we’d have a lot fewer cognac drinkers too.

3To be honest, this is more of a mix drink Cognac, in a way. Quite sharp actually. But for mixing it with your favourite ingredients (Coke, Tonic water, juice etc.) – it’s a bit expensive.

0I agree that it is more of a mixed drink cognac, I’m more of a Grand Marnier person, and awaiting their 60 year reserve. Check it out at http://www.sybarites.com/2011/09/grand-marnier-quintessence-cognac/

3Has a good aroma yet the taste reminds you its a VS. The price is fair but more expensive when compared to the other big name cognac VS products.
