Martell is a cognac brand can usually be counted on to create an excellent cognac, and Noblige is no exception. A blend of a hundred eaux de vie, this is a unique cognac for its price range, if not the best value. It hints at being old, and has great character with vanilla and even a woody note not generally present in cheaper cognac. Its a solid cognac, with its only real drawback being a little on the pricey side for the quality, with bottles being had on the internet for about $50 for a 750ml.

0I went to a wedding last Saturday and they usually have Remy or Martell V.S.O.P. I was surprise to see Noblige on the table. I never heard of Noblige from Martell. I was anixous for the dinner ceremony to start so we can start with the drink. My first sip of the cognac and I was loving it. It was a really smooth blend. Almost close up there with Cordon Bleu. Big ups Martell. I’ll be buying more of Noblige. Martell Cordon Bleu lover now has another lover in the same family.

0Actually I am a bit dissapointed with this Martell. Bought it at the airport – discounted from 50 to 30 euros!
The producer’s recommendation was it was floral&fruity. I found it much more woody and with a strong wooden aftertaste without complex aromas. Of course taste is individual:)
Maybe there’s something behind the fact that the Martell STOPPED producing it. In marketing terms – to me it was a bit half-premium cognac (not grand VSOP ora XO).
Try maybe Martell VSOP Ritz edition – aperfect liquid hedonism:)

3.8Pretty good stuff. Got this in a gift set of sorts for Christmas. I’ll have to try a bit more if I get the chance.

4.3This has become my favorite (non-XO) cognac. It is extremely smooth, with a slight nutty / almond overtones. I strongly prefer it over the VSOPs from Courvosier / Hennessey / Remy Martin and put it a step higher than Martell VSOP, at almost the same price. It seems to be a bit difficult to find (perhaps discontinued) but at the $42 I paid for a 750ml bottle it is a steal.

4An amazing Cognac and affordable price. The aftertaste is smooth and long at the same time. There is no need to mix this fine cognac with anything else. If you like this Cognac please test the Napoleon Cognac from Paul Giraud. Maybe much better and a 100% Grande Champagne Cognac.
