Fussigny’s XO is a Grande and Petite Champagne blended cognac. It consists of at least 50% Grande Champagne eau-de-vie. A. de Fussigny’s distilling methods are traditional. The humid cellars of A. de Fussigny are ideal for aging cognac, as they are situated by the banks of the river of Charente, in the cognac region. This kind of storage enhances aromas to where they are supposed to be, giving this cognac a fine and exquisite taste. Like all other Fussigny Cognacs, the A. de Fussigny XO Fine Champagne is aged either in Tronconnais casks or Limousin oak barrels.

Remy Martin: VSOP

Submitted by on February 21, 2008 – 8:57 pm6 Comments

A very nice cognac from a very famous house. The Remy Martin VSOP is a winner on all fronts, its quality is worth its price, it smells great, and the taste is out of this world. Hard to expect anything different from the maker of Louis XIII, however. Remy Martin’s VSOP has a bit of burn, but a flavor that hints of vanilla and fruit. This is just a good cognac, and can be had for under $40 on the internet if you shop around carefully.
